IPU Fuel Sampling Kit
IPU’s Fuel Sampling Kit contains all the tools you need to take samples from the top, middle and bottom of a fuel tank. With this kit you can prepare fuel samples that can be analysed using IPU’s DieselCheck portable fuel analyser or by a third-party laboratory.

The IPU Fuel Sampling Kit contains everything you need to take valid samples from the top, middle and bottom of a tank.
The test kit contains:
- Fuel Sampler
- Dip Tape with Plum Weight
- Sample Bottles
- Protective Gloves
- Safety Glasses
- Fuel Handbook
- Site Survey Forms
- Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) Test Unit
- Fuel Test Pens (for ATP only)
- ATP Instruction Manual (for ATP only)
Fuel contamination is inevitable for anyone storing diesel. If its left untreated it puts critical services at risk from failure as dirty fuel impacts the reliability of backup power systems. This makes regular testing an essential part of good fuel housekeeping.
While IPU can, of course, provide you with a complete DieselCheck fuel testing kit or testing service, we understand that you may wish to carry out tests according to your own schedule. In this scenario we recommend using the Fuel Sampling Kit. It is the first step to being able to detect any water contamination, microbial growth or solid particulate lurking in your tanks.
This Fuel Sampling Kit is complemented with a Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) test unit. The ATP unit detects evidence of microbial growth (a.k.a the diesel bug). When bacteria is present it emits ATP, the test unit can detect this and therefore accurately determine the level of microbial activity in a sample of fuel.
