Diesel needs to be stored in quantities to guarantee generators can run at full load. It’s recommended you store at least 3 days worth of diesel. This is particularly important with the current lack of stability within the power network, and the looming possibilities of power outages.
Clean fuel is critical to the reliability of backup generators, but not many organisations realise that diesel actually has a shelf life.
