IPU GROUP LTD SELLS ENGINE STARTING DIVISION TO INTERNATIONAL GROUP

IPU has been deeply saddened at the passing of Her Majesty. The Queen has been a pillar of strength, comfort and continuity in our lifetime. This period is a time of great sadness and reflection and we extend our deepest sympathies to the Royal Family and the entire Commonwealth. We will be honouring the Bank Holiday given to us by The King and closing on Monday 19th September so those who wish to watch her funeral can do so how they see fit. Rest in peace, Ma’am. IPU will reopen as normal on Tuesday 20th September.

Celebrating International Women’s Day at IPU

IPU is celebrating International Women’s Day on 8th March 2022. IPU has a growing female workforce and has some advice for females considering a career in engineering. Findings published by the Women’s Engineering Society in 2021 states that women make up 21.80% of the workforce in the engineering sector in the UK. This is still far from where we need to be as an industry. IPU works hard to support gender diversity and equality. The company operates an equal pay policy, which is based on job role and not the gender of the job holder. James Hall took the decision to meet the new limits long before that deadline came into effect. As one of the county’s largest employers, it takes pride in its position as a good corporate citizen.
