Customer Experience Team Leader or Sales & Technical Director
Area of direct responsibility:
This is a sales target driven role providing support to both customers and Internal & External Teams. The role will cover both Domestic and Export Markets. You will be dealing with customers directly and supporting internal teams with any technical issues across the Sales function. The role is key to maintaining the high level of customer care delivered and the continual growth of sales revenue via outbound telesales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide product support to customers, working closely with suppliers, Engineering and Technical Services. When appropriate perform any assistance necessary including customer visits
- Meet and exceed sales targets through high levels of activity by managing incoming leads and outbound sales calls
- Qualify leads to enhance pipeline value and forecast accuracy
- Follow up sales and internet enquiries providing excellent service and customer experience
- Provide application / solutions to enquiries using IPU products
- Develop long-term relationships with customers, new and existing, through managing and interpreting their requirements
- Explore the needs of our customers for potential new products.
- Carry out market research, identifying new opportunities and lead generation
- Monitor competitors, market conditions and product development
- Produce quotations and follow up tenaciously
- Respond to sales enquiries and concerns by phone, electronically or in person if required.
- Provide product support to Internal Sales
- Keep any product changes and upgrades up to date. Raise awareness.
- Liaise with Engineering to maintain current technical library ensuring that all information is kept up to date
- Collate all supplier catalogues, brochures, and specifications in a central location
- Deliver excellent customer care both internally and externally
- Maintain the CRM system
- Interface with Technical support and Engineering to communicate customer needs, new product development and existing product improvements
- Attend all suitable sales events and exhibitions as required
- Product demonstrations and training
- Must continuously maintain the highest degree of customer service
- Perform additional functions as requested by Management
Other Responsibilities:
- Working with the external sales representatives to manage an opportunity pipeline in the CRM system
- Maximising sales revenues
- Meet or exceed targets.
- Creating and maintaining target lists.
Experience and Competencies
- Ideally to have technical knowledge and sales experience relating to fuel filtration, diesel engines, engine starting systems, fuelling systems, generators or other diesel engine applications
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience of working in a technical environment, ideally solving customer/Internal issues
- Passionate about sales and delivering excellent customer service
- Multi-lingual (Any combination of German, French, Spanish, English etc.)
- Initiative to find answers to questions
