IPU is celebrating International Women’s Day on 8th March 2022. IPU has a growing female workforce and has some advice for females considering a career in engineering. Findings published by the Women’s Engineering Society in 2021 states that women make up 21.80% of the workforce in the engineering sector in the UK. This is still far from where we need to be as an industry. IPU works hard to support gender diversity and equality. The company operates an equal pay policy, which is based on job role and not the gender of the job holder. As one of the county’s largest employers, James Hall wanted to enhance its role in the local community by reducing emissions years before regulatory limits came into force. James Hall took the decision to meet the new limits long before that deadline came into effect. As one of the county’s largest employers, it takes pride in its position as a good corporate citizen. Charity Challenge: 66 miles in 33 hours

Our very own Tristan Philpotts (Fuel and Environmental Manager) and Jacob Briley (Service Engineer) are attempting to walk 66 miles in just 33 hours in aid of Cancer Research. Doing loops in the Peak District over the first weekend of December, they’re doing this challenge for a very special reason. IPU attended the AMPS Awards of Excellence evening on Wednesday 6th October to celebrate our wonderful industry. Held at the Park Plaza in London, it was an evening packed with networking and catching up with friends that we’ve been unable to see during these strange COVID times. Clive Carter returns to IPU!

We are hugely pleased to announce the return of Mr Clive Carter to IPU! 5 years ago, IPU made the decision to move away from the Groundcare industry, selling our distributorship of Ride-On Lawn Mowers to TH White.
