Webinar: G99 – What Does It Mean & How Do You Comply?

September 30th, 2019

There have been big changes to the world of mains protections in the hopes of bringing consistency and stability to the grid. The G99 standard was issued in July 2018 and came into effect on April 27, 2019.

G99 is applicable for all decentralised energy resources (generation equipment) in parallel with public distribution networks first installed on or after April 27, 2019

We’re hosting a G99 mains protection webinar on Tuesday, 15th October at 10:00am, which will cover:

  • The difference between G59 and G99.
  • ComAp’s route to compliance with G99.
  • MainsPro and InteliPro compliance.
  • Type testing and type-tested equipment.

The webinar will be presented by Ian Wassman, IPU’s Protection Relays Product Manager. Ian was a member of a G59/G99 Working Group tasked with finding a stable solution to Loss of Mains. As Ian has been an integral part in these changes, his expertise on the subject is second to none. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to get all of your questions answered.
