IPU launches online purchasing
IPU has launched a new online shopping facility on its website, www.ipu.co.uk. The initial launch is limited to a selection of fuel filtration products:
- Racor 1000FH turbine filters and 2020-series elements
- Racor 900FH turbine filters and 2040-series elements
- Racor 500FG turbine filters and 2010-series elements
- Racor FBO filter housings and elements
“We know our prices are very competitive and we know we attract a lot of traffic to our website. The challenge we faced was that visitors to our site were frustrated if they wanted to buy what they saw. The webshop solves that problem,” says Steve Baxter, IPU’s Head of Marketing.
More products will be made available for online purchase as the year progresses.
IPU’s webshop surpasses most of its competitors by providing comprehensive information about the products for sale. Visitors will see full product descriptions and application notes as well as datasheets, manuals and schematics. It is a more rewarding purchasing environment for customers.
The facility is built on the WooCommerce platform for WordPress web sites. The site was upgraded to support secure, encrypted communications (SSL) as part of the implementation. Visitors will notice the company name and padlock in the address window to reassure them they are really dealing with IPU. Credit card processing is handled by SagePay.
