IPU Fuel Division Qualifications

The IPU Fuel Division have over 25 years experience in fuel conditioning. This is backed by a number of industry qualifications to ensure our team is using the latest techniques and safe working practices. At IPU we are committed to continuous improvement through strengthening our knowledge base of operational procedures and delivering a high quality service.

Our fuel engineers hold the following qualifications:

Safety Pass Alliance (SPA)

The SPA license is a necessary qualification for engineers when working on fuel forecourts. It is recognised by the United Kingdom Petroleum Industry Association (UKPIA). The petroleum industry handles potentially hazardous products; a top priority is health and safety and the development of professional work practices. This qualification ensures that workers are trained to meet specific standards, enabling them to deal with special issues which may occur.

Confined Spaces (City & Guilds 6150)

The Confined Spaces City & Guilds qualification is a National Occupational Standards (NOS) accredited qualification, ideal for operatives working in confined spaces. Our engineers are equipped with the necessary skills and competencies to assess risks, control hazards and perform work in a safe manner.

HSE Emergency First Aid at Work

All of our fuel engineers are qualified in Emergency First Aid at Work. Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) training enables a first-aider to give emergency treatment to someone who is injured or becomes ill while at work.

CRB / DBS (Criminal Records Bureau) checked

Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS, formally CRB) eligibility criteria is strictly regulated by law. At IPU all of our engineers are checked and kept updated with all DBS requirements.
