IPU to exhibit at the International Workboat Show, New Orleans – 3-5th December 2014
IPU is set to exhibit at the largest marine industry trade event in North America, The International Workboat Show. Members from IPU’s Starting Division will be presenting our comprehensive range of spring and hydraulic start motors ideal for marine applications.
Spring Starters – A spring starter motor from IPU is a reliable, cost effective way of providing manual starting to for diesel engines. Available for starting engines up to 12 litres, they eliminate any pollution risk, are simple to install and are ideally suited to harsh environments such as offshore and marine applications.
Hydraulic Starters – IPU Hydraulic Start Systems offer guaranteed reliability, no matter how challenging or unpredictable the environment. Suitable for engines up to 150 litres, the start systems combine quick acceleration with high torque output. This allows them to guarantee starting after long shut down periods, in extreme temperatures or damp and hostile conditions. IPU also provide custom fit packages to suit a client’s needs.
The event also coincides with the opening of our new stateside office in Houston, Texas. By extending the IPU network we will be able to provide local support to clients in the region.
Lawrie Freeman from the new Houston office will be at the show which draws in large number of visitors from the commercial marine world. It gives visitors the chance to see the latest in marine vessels and equipment from over 1,000 exhibitors, plus observe topical conference sessions and award ceremonies.
During the 3 day event there will be a key note speech by Captain Richard Phillips, the skipper of the Maersk Alabama who was captured by Somali pirates in 2009. His dramatic story was the true tale behind the 2013 film “Captain Phillips” starring Tom Hanks.
We would be delighted to welcome you on stand 667 and show you our range of non-electric starting systems for diesel engines in generators, fire pumps and other equipment. To secure your free tickets register your detail on the International Workboat Show website before 3rd November 2014.
