IPU were approached by Trident Buses when they were incurring high maintenance costs and a reduction in profits due to increased downtime of their vehicles.
A major bus company had been experiencing over frequent engine oil drain intervals due to high levels of soot / carbon contamination being generated (2.8%) in the oil over a relatively short service period of 42 days;
IPU Group installed OP25 Extended Oil Life Systems onto each of the buses in the fleet. As a direct result, oil soot levels have dropped from 2.8% to 0.2%, camshaft failures were eradicated and service intervals increased from 42 days to 84.
