Stack Modelling
IPU are total emissions solutions providers. As well as Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) Systems and Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs), IPU can provide stack modelling services to ensure your site as a whole is compliant.
Why do I need Stack Modelling?
If your site sits with a Low or Ultra-Low Emissions Zone, it will be particularly important to lower emissions as much as possible.
If the site is in another sensitive area, such as near a hospital or a school, you may want to lower overall site emissions as much as possible.
Whilst installing exhaust gas abatement will ensure the engine is compliant to regulations such as the MCPD, it does not necessarily mean the site as a whole will be compliant.
The 2008 Ambient Air Quality Directive (2008/50/EC) pays close attention to concentrations of outdoor air and major pollutants (such as NOx) that are found in those areas.
Our stack modelling service will conduct a full survey of your site. It looks at terrain and meteorological data, as well as any relevant building information.
From this, recommendations can be made on how to reduce overall site emissions and improve the air quality of your local area.
